Heather and Jonathan’s wedding

Heather and Jonathan were married in Sharonville, Ohio, and they were truly two of a kind; they are one of the most fun loving and outgoing couples I’ve ever met.  They had a huge wedding party, and the whole group of them were cutting up and keeping me laughing from beginning to end.  Their wedding is a good example of how you can divide up the time on your day, depending on your preferences.  To this group, the reception was the biggest part of their day, so they scheduled less hours before the wedding and more afterwards.  Other couples may do the exact opposite, all depending on how their day is planned and what is most important to them.  I am happy to customize coverage of your day in any way you see fit!

Louisville Bride 2010 Spring/Summer Issue – Feature

Many thanks to Lauren and Joe for submitting to Louisville Magazine. So excited to be featured! This link takes you to the magazine, but you have to scroll to the feature on page 24. Lauren and Joe’s wedding was at the beautiful LVAA Water Tower. Also excited to represent the Louisville Science Center with photos from Eric and Jennifer’s wedding on page 60! Here’s a link to the Science Center’s rental information page with more of my photos. It is a great place to hold your event!

Weddings, Weddings, Weddings! Louisville, Cincinnati, Lexington

Excited to meet another couple this morning for a 2010 wedding. Inquires are rolling in fast and furious, and dates are filling up! Hooray! Such an exciting time of year, so many new engagements! Congratulations to all my new wedding clients in Kentucky and the entire region!

Melanie and Rob’s wedding

As cold as it has been lately, I thought I’d go back to last summer and blog the hottest outdoor wedding I did all year.  This beautiful wedding took place in Cincinnati instead of Louisville, but it gets every bit as hot up there.  I remember thinking my face was just going to melt into my  camera during the ceremony!  The reception cooled everyone off, though, until they all started dancing.

Sara and Stephen’s wedding

This was one of, if not the, most outrageously beautiful weddings I have ever seen.  I mean, not just that I have photographed or been to, but ever seen, period.  Would you believe that the reception took place in a barn?  Wildflowers Florist transformed it into an absolute wonderland.  It was jaw-dropping! The whole affair happened at Sara’s grandparent’s beautiful estate in the country just outside of Louisville.

Eleanor and Brice’s wedding

Eleanor and Brice chose the Speed Art Museum to be the venue for both their ceremony and reception.  I was so excited about this wedding–what a fabulous setting, among all those great works of art.  This wedding was all about the details.  Eleanor’s mom made the most amazing table centerpieces; each table had a book chosen by the couple as it’s theme, and the guests were able to take a book and decoration home as party favors.  In addition, she made beautiful hand stamped bookmarks for each place setting that matched each table’s particular book.  I can honestly say I have never seen anything like it–such a creative, beautiful, clever labor of love for her daughter’s wedding day.  I took almost as many pictures of the table settings as I did of the bride and groom!  The table decorations, along with props from the photo booth, really helped to liven up the dance floor as the evening wore on.  It turned into a bit of a costume ball.  Everyone really had so much fun.

Jennifer and Eric’s wedding

Another great wedding at the Louisville Science Center!   Jennifer and Eric had such a wonderful day.  They decided to buck tradition and see each other before the wedding, so we had a special “first look” photo op, and then had plenty of time to get most of the portraits out of the way before the ceremony while the light was perfect.  The beautiful flowers provided by Flourish Decor added the perfect touch of elegance to the event. See their engagement photos, too.

Morgan and Chris’s wedding

Morgan and Chris were married at the beautiful Blackacre Nature Preserve, which is my new favorite place in Louisville.  This was an absolute gem of a fall wedding!  Every detail was perfect.  Morgan and Chris chose a vintage style, which matched the atmosphere of the grounds of the old house perfectly.  This wedding was full of special touches, such as signature cocktails and decorations hand made by Morgan’s mom.  It was a wonderful day filled with love, friends, family, and neighbors (Yay Germantown!). Have a look at their engagement photos as well.

Ron and Mary’s wedding

Ron and Mary are not only my dear friends, they are two of the most unique and talented artists I know. Their wedding reflected this spirit in so many ways. It was only fitting that it took place at the Water Tower, home of the Louisville Visual Art Association.  I was especially honored that they asked me to photograph their day, because they both also work in photography among other mediums. In other words, they know their stuff :)

Check out their art at www.madpixel.net and www.vividblack.net

Lauren and Joe

What a gorgeous wedding at the Water Tower.  Lauren and Joe are so sweetly in love–it is overwhelmingly obvious.  Everything from the details to the dress had such a beautiful vintage-y feel to it; definitely my kind of style.  Can you tell that I was in love with her net hair-piece?  I took a million pictures of it.
